Candied Maple Almonds
What's my favorite ingredient in a salad? Almonds... Candied almonds... Maple candied almonds... Maple candied almonds and flax... Take your salad from boring to "wow" with these simple candied nuts.
- 2 cups almonds
- 1/4 cup Omega Crunch Roasted Maple Shelled Flax
- 1/4 tsp Himalayan salt
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- Preheat a skillet over medium high heat
- Combine the almonds, flax and salt in a bowl. Add the maple syrup to the preheated skillet and begin to stir. Add the dry ingredients in the bowl to the skillet, stirring constantly. Continue to stir until the syrup is carmelized, approx 4-5 minutes. Allow to cool. Add candied nuts to salads for a little extra yum!
