Chocolate Ice “Cream” With Candied Flax (dairy free, paleo)
Making ice “cream” is as easy as 1-2-3! One – bananas. Two –cocoa. Three – candied flax. No ice cream maker, no long waits, and no re-freezing. And the candied flax? It’s a must!
(Yields 4 Servings)
Ice”Cream”:
- 4 medium ripe bananas, peeled, sliced, frozen
- 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
Method:
Place frozen bananas and cocoa powder in a food processor and pulse until smooth and well blended. Top with candied flax.

Candied Flax:
- 2 Tbsp Omega Crunch Shelled Flax (Roasted Maple or Sweet Cinnamon)
- 1 Tbsp chopped almonds
- 1 Tbsp pure maple syrup
Method:
Place flax almonds and maple syrup in a small saucepan over medium high heat stirring constantly. When the mixture becomes too thick to stir, remove from heat (approx. 2-4 minutes). Allow to cool. Mixture will harden while cooling. Crumble cooled pieces over your ice “cream”.
