Chocolate Nut Spread (paleo, dairy free, *vegan option)
Kids just love those chocolaty nut spreads, but they are usually filled with refined sugar and artificial flavors. How about making your own? It’s easy, kid approved, and you’ll know everything that's in it!
(Yield 9 Servings – 1 Tbsp Each)
- ¼ cup almond butter
- 2 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 Tbsp honey (*vegan option – maple syrup)
- 1 Tbsp coconut oil (melted)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Omega Crunch Roasted Maple Shelled Flax (for topping)
** to make CRUNCHY chocolate nut spread, mix 2 Tbs Omega Crunch Roasted Maple Shelled Flax into the mixture.
Method:
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir! Spread on your favorite toast or try dipping your fruit in it! Top with roasted maple shelled flax. Yum!
