Dipped Bananas (vegan, dairy free, paleo)
Kids need omega 3 too. So here’s an after school snack you can feel good about serving, and your kids will feel good about eating! Bananas dipped in dairy free chocolate sauce and naturally flavored shelled flax.
(Yields Approx. 10 Pieces.)
- 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 Tbsp coconut oil
- 1 Tbsp xylitol
- 1 medium banana
- 2 Tbsp Omega Crunch Shelled Flax (Sweet Cinnamon or Roasted Maple)

Method:
Combine the cocoa, coconut oil and xylitol in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly until the oil and xylitol melt with the cocoa to form a smooth chocolate sauce. Remove from heat. Pour the sauce into a small, shallow bowl. Put the shelled flax into another small, shallow bowl. Peel and cut the banana into approx. 10 equal pieces. Using the toothpicks, pick up each piece of banana and dip into the chocolate sauce and then into the shelled flax and place on a plate. Serve immediately.
